The Artist Behind the Stars.
Sudath Wijeratne, known as Astroman.au, is an Australian astrophotographer based in Brisbane who is passionate about revealing the beauty of the night sky.
With a lifelong fascination for the Universe and more than 30 years of experience in technology, Sudath brings together astronomy, photography, computing and innovation to capture the hidden wonders of deep space.
From his home observatory, he photographs distant nebulae, galaxies and star-forming regions, using advanced telescopes, specialised cameras and modern imaging techniques. His work has received recognition from the astronomical community, including award-winning images and a NASA feature.
For Sudath, astrophotography is more than taking photographs. It is about capturing ancient light from across the Cosmos and making the Universe accessible to everyone.
